Dr Hanna Schroeder-Czaja has been admitted to the bar since 2002 and has been practising in the fields of energy law and planning law ever since. At the law firm BRAHMS, NEBEL & KOLLEGEN, she works primarily at the Berlin office.
Dr Schroeder-Czaja provides key advice on decentralised energy concepts for commercial and industrial sites, covering both electricity and heating. Her advisory work focuses on the organisation of grid operations on the premises, grid connection issues, and the drafting of price escalation clauses and supply contracts between project developers, municipal utilities, property owners and local authorities. Her many years of experience and extensive practical network ensure sustainable advice on planning, project development and implementation.
Another key area of Dr Schroeder-Czaja’s work is planning and environmental law. For more than 15 years, she has provided legal and strategic support in planning approval procedures for major projects (e.g. grid expansion, motorways, district roads, bridges and tram routes), as well as representing clients in court. In particular, she has many years’ experience with grid expansion projects at the 380 kV and 110 kV levels. Dr Schroeder-Czaja works both on behalf of project developers and as a project manager on behalf of consultation and planning approval authorities.
Dr Schroeder-Czaja has been advising on street lighting contracts and procurement procedures in this context since she began practising as a lawyer.
