Dr. Mirko Sauer is a lawyer specializing in energy and commercial law. His practice focuses on advising project developers, investors, plant operators and municipalities on legal issues relating to energy law and on drafting contracts in connection with projects for the generation of electricity, heat and hydrogen as well as electricity storage.

Dr. Mirko Sauer also advises energy and heat suppliers, direct marketers, contracting companies as well as industrial and commercial end consumers on all regulatory issues relating to energy and heat sales and the optimization of energy consumption costs as well as on the drafting of supply and marketing contracts. A further focus of his work is advising on grid regulation issues and assisting with concession award procedures (electricity, gas, district heating, water).

Dr. Mirko Sauer is the author of numerous specialist articles, commentaries, educational literature and legal studies. He has been giving lectures and seminars at universities for 18 years and conducts specialist training courses for companies, authorities and local authorities on the entire spectrum of energy law and the utilities industry. Since 2013, he has been a lecturer at the Humboldt University of Berlin and supervises master’s theses and dissertations on European and German energy law.
