Dr Patrick Schulz has been a registered lawyer since 2022 and is based in Berlin. Dr Schulz advises and represents owners, project developers, investors and the public sector in the field of renewable energies and specialises in related environmental and planning law issues, both in the approval of plants and in assisting with regional planning procedures and the preparation and amendment of land use and development plans. In the context of project development, a particular focus is on the creation of building rights for electricity storage facilities.
Dr Schulz also advises on various projects in the areas of photovoltaics, biogas and wind energy as well as hydrogen, with a focus on public law issues within the approval process and the drafting of public law contracts.
In addition, Dr Schulz comments on the building regulations of various federal states in the C.H. Beck and Rehm publishing houses and is co-editor of the commentary on clearance area law in Berlin and Brandenburg in the SV Saxonia publishing house. He also has extensive experience as a speaker at the Brandenburgische Kommunalakademie, the Kommunales Bildungswerk Berlin and the vhw Bundesverband für Wohnen und Stadtentwicklung e.V. (Federal Association for Housing and Urban Development).
